Within a week of her birth, Adiah developed a red swelling on her lower lip which got bigger as she grew. She was diagnosed with a Hemangioma; an abnormal buildup of blood vessels in the skin. Although at this time the Hemangioma does not represent a risk to her life, this malformation will keep growing, filling up with blood and continue to disfigure her face. At some point it could rupture and cause hemorrhaging. Aside from this condition, Adiah is a healthy and happy child but her parents are troubled by the growth on their daughter’s mouth and chin and how this will affect her life.
Our partner institution in Trinidad and Tobago, Hope of a Miracle Foundation, contacted IKF’s Wonderfund in hopes of bringing Adiah to Miami for an evaluation and proper treatment. But Adiah’s family does not have the resources to help their daughter and the funds need to be raised among our generous supporters. Your donation can provide this precious little girl with hope for a better future. You can make the difference by donating today!
